Extension to restaurant

We were tasked
with adding an extension to the seating area of the restaurant. We proposed the
development of the courtyard into a shared space for both restaurant and café.
The primary factors of the design were the intention to maintain the view of
the existing Listed building, and the complexity of the detail in creating
junctions to that building.
The proposal is a lightweight, transparent covered
area, an independent structure, carried on slender columns which delineate the
circulation routes of both the restaurant and the café. Around thirty extra
covers were added.
